A world without computer..

Now a days , computers are very important in everyone specially to all the students. Computers seem to be a dependable part of our lives. We depend our learning activities most of the time to computers. In our generation today, i cant imagine the world without computers specially when it comes to education. It is easier for us to learn and get information through computers. A world without computer is like a world without transportation vehicles. Without vehicles, we have no choice but to walk and without computers in education, we have no choice but to go to the library and do some research. Computers are very essential in ones life, not only because it is in our generation today but it gives a lot of benefits to man. Life without computer is quite possible. We, as teachers to be, must be well knowledgeable in computers because we can teach this to our future students to be and this is where the interest of the students are. Unlike any other gadgets, computers cannot be eliminated. Yes, it can be improve and can be develop but it can never be remove in our new generation.

         Through school or training center computer courses, present-day students have become computer literate. They send e-mail, prepare computer encoded class reports, and even make power-point presentations sometimes to the surprise of their media tradition-bound teachers.

           Following the call for developing critical thinking among students, teachers have deemphasized rote learning and have spent more time in methods to allow students to comprehend/internalize lessons.

           Shifting focus from lower-level traditional learning outcomes, student assessment/examinations have included measurement of higher level learning outcomes such as creative and critical thinking skills.

          Recent teaching-learning models (such as constructivism and social constructivism) have paved the way for instructional approaches in which

Students rely less on teachers as information-givers, and instead more in their efforts to acquire information, build their own knowledge, and solve problems. 

Obstacles to IT pedagogical practice

         Use of the computer is time-consuming and expensive.

          Besides there also danger of a technology-centered classroom along the fear that computers may soon replace teachers.

         Teachers should balance their time for the preparation and application of instructional tools. Through wise technical advice, schools can also acquire the most appropriate computer hardware and software. At the same time, training should ensure that the use of ET is fitted to learning objectives.

         In addition, teachers should acquire computer skills for so that they can serve as models in integrating educational technology in the teaching-learning process. Schools should now foster a student-centered learning environment, where in students are given leeway to use computer information sources in their assignments, reports and presentations in written, visual, or dramatic forms.

8.  Higher Thinking Skills through IT-Based Projects

     In this lesson, we shall discuss four types of IT-Based projects which can effectively be used in order to engage students in activities of a higher plane of thinking.

                              -Resource-based project

-       In these projects, the teacher step out of the traditional role of being an content expert and information provider, and instead lets the student find their own facts and information.

                            -Simple creations

-       Students can also be assigned to create their software  materials to supplement the need for relevant and effective materials.

-Creativity is said to combine three kinds of skills/abilities:

·         -Analyzing- distinguishing similarities and differences seeing the project as a problem to be solved.

·         -Synthesizing- making spontaneous connections among ideas, thus generating interesting or new ideas.

·        - Promoting- selling of new ideas to allow the public to test the ideas themselves.

         -Guided hypermedia projects

-       The production of self-made multimedia projects can be approached in two different ways:

1.    as an instructive tool.

2.    as a communication tool.

                   -Web-based projects

            - Students can be made to create and post webpage’s on a given topic.

Skills competiton

 
I would like to congratulate all the participants of the skills competition 2012 most specially to camarin students for winning the overall competition.But aside from that, I am very happy with the result of the cosmetology competition because the main campus students win that part of the skills competition. Me personally, I enjoyed it a lot not only because I won but also because I love what Im doing. Im quite disappointed because some of the camarin TLE students does'nt treat us like their visitors and family, I can feel that some of them are being so unfair but not all of them. I suggest that, what if we conduct the next skills competition here in tandang sora campus. It would be a new environment but it will look fair to those main campus students and lets pick half of the camarin judges and half of the main judges. But all in all, Im very much happy. TLE cosmetology main campus WON !!!

In this article, it discuss the challenges of new technology to the teachers. Since we are in the world of technology now, the teachers must study and explore the use of technology as well for it is the necessity of the students. It is very important for the teacher to use the technology because the students are all interested about technology. Technology can really help our education to progress. On the part of the teachers, it is a big challenge for them specially to those old teachers and to those who are use to teach in an old fashioned style of teaching. Teachers can also execute their lessons easily through power points, over head projectors, and using some sites that computers can give. Technology is being used to improve the teaching outcome of our education. It is very important to all the teachers to use education because it can effectively be applied in instructions.

On this video, the speaker shows the use and importance of technology to communication and to education as well. They are talking about the importance of education and its effect to the users. In this video, different groups of students give their opinions about what technology can give us. Ms. Murray also encourage the government official to do something for technology to be well implemented all over the world.

    Technology has already invaded our generation. It already invade our education now a days. I think it can also improve the learning competency of the students and it motivates them to study harder. Technology doesn't only serves as an entertainment but it helps to boost the interest of the students. In the past few years, over head projectors are very much used all over the country but as time goes by, it has been changed by the newest technologies invented today. The use of tablets are also being obsolete today and so with the blackboards and chalk. Yes it is  more easy to use and not too expensive but the thing is, we must consider the needs and the trends for the students learn more and be much interested to the lessons. I do agree if our government will be able to improve our teaching styles through those gadgets. But if we cannot really afford those too expensive gadgets, we can still use those tablets or over head projectors than using the old ones.

    Technology is rapidly emerging as an important component of the teaching and learning process. The issue of educational technology has played a major part in improving the learning outcomes of individuals by personalizing the learning experience. The immediate responsiveness of computer based programs, and the self-paced private learning environment that educational technology warrants seeks to promote higher levels of motivation among students worldwide. It has also provided greater access to education such as in the case of increased accommodation for students with severe physical disabilities and for students living in remote locations. Educational technology has made the attainment of education possible for diverse groups including those in remote areas of developing countries. The obvious question that come to mind is that, how is it possible to spread this form of education in remote areas without electricity and telephone line?  The vision to provide educational technology in such areas might seem an impossible task.   

    

    New technology may sooner or later rule the whole world. This is possible because technology has a lot of change and it change as time goes by. It will change again as the need of the learners are also getting higher. But what do you think is the best tool for the student to learn ? For me, teacher and student plus willingness to learn is the best tool for us to learn. It is not on what gadgets we have now but it is on how we use it properly and our determination to learn is a necessity. It is true that we can get a lot of benefits in technology specially in education. Technology after 20 years

Technology after 20 years.

Twenty years from now will we still be using laptops, ipods, etc.? How, if at all, will cell phones or blackberry's change? What can we expect to see in the future? Technology has a great influence in everyone. It evolves as times goes by. It has a lot of changes and innovations. I think 20 years from now technology will be more innovative. Inventors will create different gadgets and many thing that can make the life of the people easier. Twenty years from now I can see our transportation very different. There will be no cars that are run by the gasolines instead, the cars will be run by either electicity, air, sunlight or batteries only. There will be a lot of techy bridges and there will be no traffics. Gadgets are more innovative as well. Cell phones can be a means not only of communication but for a lot of things like for entertainment and source of electricity . It is possible that all the furnitures can also be a means of communication or anything. I also hope to have a gadgets that can be used to cur many diseases like those diseases which are impossible to cure like cancers, leukemia, TB, and heart attacks. I guess if it will be invented, I can prolong the lives of many people and it is one source of hope to those poor individuals. In education, I hope that 20 years from now, all the students of private and public schools will have their own tablets or laptops that has an automatic internet. I also hope to have a lot of safety gadgets or safety innovative gears or gadgets . Like for example, a house materials that can resist fires to avoid burning of houses. There is a lot of inventions or technology that geniuses can create that can help each and everyone to have a more easy and progressive life.
